Intro
In January 2016, I entered a new phase of my professional life after more than 33 years as owner and CEO of my company. I decided to focus on advisory work as a consultant, investor and business angel, with an emphasis on innovation management, technology transfer and strategic management consulting. The intelligent use of data and information across industry, organisations and the private sector has always been a central professional interest.
Ethical principles and compliance with the legal framework shape my understanding of responsible entrepreneurship. Trust, fairness and reliable partnerships are essential to my work — in the tradition of the “respectable merchant,” a concept rooted in the long-standing commercial heritage of Nuremberg.
More Than Three Decades of Experience
At the age of 28, in 1982, I founded MEDAV Digitale Signalverarbeitung GmbH following my studies and doctorate at the Chair of Telecommunications at Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen. The objective was to bring innovative digital signal processing technologies to the market in measurement and communication systems.
In 1988, the foundation of LingKom GmbH expanded the technological spectrum to multimedia and speech recognition. LingKom was divested to G-Data Software AG, Bochum, in 2001.
TeWiSoft GmbH was established in 2000 in Ilmenau, in close cooperation with the Technical University of Ilmenau. In 2007, TeWiSoft was merged with MEDAV, contributing to its continued growth and technological strength.
By 2012, MEDAV had grown organically into a recognized provider of high-end systems for signal acquisition and direction finding in the global security market, building a strong international reputation for innovation and reliability.
In 2012, Saab AB became the sole shareholder of Saab Medav Technologies GmbH following the sale of the company’s shares. Under my management, the company continued to develop successfully as a highly profitable enterprise with substantial international business until 2015.
Today, an experienced and committed team is ready to share expertise and generate new ideas. The combination of long-standing experience with motivation and openness to emerging technologies creates the foundation for sustainable innovation and market success.
